Denmark announces new military aid package for Ukraine
On August 19, the Danish government announced a new aid package for Ukraine worth about 783 million Danish kroner (116 million US dollars)
Danish Defence Minister Troels Lund Poulsen stated, "Putin continues his brutal and bloody attacks on Ukrainians. Denmark must remain committed to supporting Ukraine so it can defend itself."
He noted that most of the aid will go towards buying new military equipment through Ukraine’s defense industry and international partners.
The Danish Defense Minister also emphasized that this 20th support package was tailored to Ukraine’s needs and requests. He said it would be valuable both now and in the future.
Danish Foreign Minister Lars Løkke Rasmussen added that Copenhagen remains one of Ukraine’s most steadfast supporters. He stressed that this new aid package will provide Ukraine with the military equipment needed to resist Russian aggression.
