Germany's new military aid package for Ukraine: what's included

On August 19, the German government announced a new military aid package to Ukraine, including the IRIS-T air defense system and Vector drones

The new aid package from Germany includes:

  • one IRIS-T SLS air defense missile system;
  • 14,000 rounds of 155 mm ammunition;
  • 10 unmanned surface ships;
  • 26 VECTOR reconnaissance drones with spare parts;
  • materials for explosive ordnance disposal;
  • 6 highly mobile engineering excavators;
  • one Bergepanzer 2 armored repair and recovery vehicle with spare parts;
  • 55,000 first aid kits;
  • 700 MK 556 assault rifles;
  • 10 HLR 338 high-precision rifles with ammunition;
  • 50 CR 308 rifles.

On July 29, Germany donated another military aid package to Ukraine, which included 8 Leopard tanks, ammunition for Gepards, drones, helmets, and other equipment.
