Zelenskyy's speech is for those who watched "The Irony of Fate" up until last year
A couple of sobering words for those who do not like the president
I have very little reason to love our president. I haven't forgotten anything. Neither the desire to sit on the border and solve everything with Putin, like "two men" (from his speech during the debate at the presidential elections in Ukraine)), not kebabs and shameful comments on the American statements about the invasion. I did not forget the failure of the evacuation, the paralysis of the SBU by a friend of Bakanov (Ivan Bakanov was the Head of Ukraine's Security Service until July 17, 2022, his friend is an Ex-General of the SBU and Bakanov's right-hand man, Andrii Naumov, who turned out to be a Russian spy)*(Editorial note) and a bunch of other things that were before the war.
But, taking this into account, I also do not forget that the vast majority of Ukrainian citizens support President Zelenskyy. And it is possible to discuss a lot why this is so and what is the role of the usurpation of the TV airwaves, lies and manipulations in this, but the score on the scoreboard is that Zelenskyy is popular.
“When you recall the president's previous New Year's speeches, the Soviet entourage and the avoidance of calling Russia an aggressor, you are right - it was. But that is the past. Don't live in the past.”

Zelenskyy's speech is frankly good. It is correct, because it motivates us to hold on and destroy enemies. And it is not designed for those who have been fighting since 2004. You will fight anyway, my stubborn bastards!
“Although he grunts, purrs, and makes jokes in the style of the 95 Kvartal, he does the right thing here and now.”
Zelenskyy's speech is aimed at those who, until last year, watched the Soviet people's favorite film "The Irony of Fate", ate Olivier (a favorite salad in Soviet times), were "out of politics'', but in fact believed in Russian narratives and did not notice the war. They made up Zelenskyy's nuclear electorate and he is a great man who transforms Soviet people into Ukrainians with his transformation. This is important work and it is wise to support the president in this. Mobilizing everyone to fight is in our interests and brings victory closer.
Therefore, although he wheezes, purrs, and jokes in the style of the 95th Kvartal, he does the right thing here and now. Here's what I think about the president's address.
