Storm Shadow, SCALP missiles integrated into Su-24 in record time - MBDA CEO
Missiles Storm Shadow and SCALP were successfully integrated into Ukrainian Su-24 bombers, and it took not much time for the process
MBDA CEO Eric Béranger said this, Challenges reports.
According to him, due to Russia's invasion of Ukraine, the demand for weapons and their modifications has increased significantly worldwide.
He noted that the company was able to modify the Storm Shadow/SCALP on Su-24 aircraft in a fairly short time. He believes that at the usual pace, such work would have taken about six years. However, the rapid modification was influenced by the fact that his company received virtually carte blanche in its work.
In particular, it was previously known that the pylons from the Tornado strike aircraft were used to install the Storm Shadow.
The same company had previously stated that they could adapt Taurus missiles to SU-24 and that it would take them about 6 months to do so.
- Defense Express analyst Serhiy Zgurets believes that the Ukrainian Armed Forces struck Feodosia and the Novocherkassk military industrial complex on the night of December 26 with Storm Shadow missiles.
