US and G7 countries support Zelenskyy's peace formula, as it could be potential plan to end war
Bridget Brink says that the US and the G7 countries support Zelenskyy's peace formula, as this plan could become a potential solution to the war with Russia
Channel 24 reports this with reference to the US Ambassador to Ukraine Bridget Brink.
"Now it is very clear who is on the side of peace and who is on the side of war. President Zelenskyy spoke about a peace plan consisting of 10 points. We, the US and the G7 countries, support this plan because we believe that it could be a potential plan to end the war. Just this Monday, Russia again launched 70 missiles at Ukrainian cities. Now it is absolutely clear that the Russians do not want to end the war. The US supports peace. The kind of peace that was proposed in Zelenskyy's plan,” Brink said.
On November 20, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy presented the Ukrainian Peace Formula during an online address to the G20 members.
“Ukraine's Peace Formula is very clear, and each of its points has been fully worked out. Radiation and nuclear safety. Food security. Energy security. Release of all prisoners of war and deportees. Implementation of the UN Charter and restoration of territorial integrity of Ukraine and world order. Withdrawal of Russian troops and cessation of hostilities. Restoring justice. Avoiding escalation. Fixing the end of the war.
Each of these points are specific decisions that need to be done for security. Russian aggression will not simply stop – stability and predictability will be restored for everyone in the world. That is why our Peace Formula is a formula for peace for the world. And I suggest to all leaders, to all conscientious countries, to choose the element of the peace formula that you can help us implement,” the Ukrainian president said.
