Ukrainian fighters released interception of Wagner's men taking their commander’s remains from downed helicopter
The 108th Battalion soldiers of the 10th Mountain Assault Brigade published a radio interception of how the Wagnerians took the remains of Lieutenant Colonel Vyacheslav Zangiyev. He was killed during the accurate destruction of a Russian helicopter by the Ukrainian Armed Forces
The relevant radio interception was released by the brigade's soldiers, the Espreso reported.
The military claimed Zangiyev was the commander of a combat helicopter regiment. He was from Vladikavkaz, the capital of North Ossetia. A Russian soldier was retired but went to earn some money in the ranks of the Wagner PMC
"On October 31, near Bakhmut, Ukrainian defenders turned him into "a couple of ash buckets," the brigade said in a statement.
Thus, in the intercepted conversation, the Russian military can be heard instructing other occupiers to look at what was left of the downed helicopter. Particularly, he advises taking a bag and shovels to rake the ashes of commander Zangiev from inside.
