Ukraine to demand recognition of Russia as state sponsor of terrorism despite US statement - Kuleba
Ukraine's Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dmytro Kuleba, says that Ukraine will continue to work to ensure that Russia is recognized as a state sponsor of terrorism
Ukraine's Minister of Foreign Affairs stated this on the air of the All-Ukrainian telethon.
"We demanded, are currently demanding, and we will demand that Russia to be recognized as a state sponsor of terrorism. The fact that the Biden administration is not ready to make such a decision does not mean that it will never be made. "We will work to make Russia recognized for what it really is," he said.
"We will not back down and will insist on our position. Because it would be the right decision," he said.
Earlier, the White House stated that adding Russia to the list of state sponsors of terrorism could have unforeseen consequences for Ukraine and delay food exports.
Kuleba gave the example of Iran, which is on the list of terrorist states, but with which both the US and the EU are negotiating. "As you can see, one does not interfere with the other," Kuleba added.
