Ukraine has depressive situation in agricultural sector for next 3 to 5 years - Andriy Vadatursky
Ukraine will feel the consequences of the war for a long time, and for the next three to five years, there will be a depressive situation in the agricultural sector
This was stated in an interview with one of the Ukrainian media by Andriy Vadatursky, the son of businessman and owner of Nibulon Oleksiy Vadatursky, who was killed by a Russian missile.
"We will feel the consequences of the war for a long time. In the coming years, we will have a depressive situation in the agricultural sector. These are areas with mines and problems with reducing yields. There will be a problem with port loading," said Andriy Vadatursky.
"After the end of the war, it will take three to five years to return to the levels of production and exports that were before the war and that are needed in the world. This is with a normal state policy and the support of other states," he added.
The successor of Nibulon cited figures confirming the decline in the company's export volume. So, in October 2022, more than 200 thousand tons were exported. The company plans to reach at least 250-300 thousand tons per month, but this is still a minimum compared to 2021 when the total export volume was 5.6 million tons.
