This is an escalation: Polish border guards react to shot car on border with Belarus

The incident occurred a few days ago. It has already been reported to the Polish Sejm. 

A car with Polish border guards, including two officers, came under fire. It is not yet known who was shooting and what they were using, but an "object" was seen hitting the car with great force.

"We don't know exactly what it was," says Yanush Shoka, major of the Pidliansk Border Guard Detachment. "We are still checking what kind of shot it was. But this is a very dangerous situation. Repeatedly, stones were thrown at us and our cars. But yesterday something broke two windows of our car. Fortunately, there was no one inside and no one was hurt. But this is an escalation of the situation, and it is dangerous."

According to Arkadiush Tyvoniuk, Border Guard Colonel, the speed and kinetic energy were significant.

"I don't know if they were shooting from an air gun, but in any case, he went through the side window of the vehicle, flew out the other side and went through another window. I emphasize that there were two officers in the vehicle, which also threatened their lives and health," Tyvoniuk said.
