The Russian military units shell Kharkiv with S-300 missile system, injuring people and damaging residential buildings
In Kharkiv, on September 4, Russian forces shelled residential buildings in the Kholodnohirskyi and Novobavarskyi districts, wounding two civilians
The Prosecutor General's Office reports in a social networking service Telegram.
According to the investigation, around 6:20 p.m. the Russian military units hit a residential quarter in the Novobavarskyi district of Kharkiv with a S-300 missile system launched from the Belgorod region in Russia.
The New Novobavarskyi District Prosecutor's Office has started a pre-trial investigation in criminal proceedings for violation of the laws and customs of war (Part 1 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). The materials of the proceedings will be handed over to the Security Service of Ukraine Office in the Kharkiv region.
Kharkiv Mayor Igor Terekhov reports in Telegram.
"Two districts of Kharkiv were shelled. Preliminarily, the missile strikes were in the Kholodnohirsky and Novobavarskyi districts of the city. The information about the victims and the destruction is being clarified," he emphasized.
Later, the mayor wrote in Telegram that the Russian military units damaged several private houses and a high-rise building nearby in the Novobavarskyi district.
Oleg Synegubov, the head of the Regionally Military Administration, said in Telegram that the medics hospitalized two people. The victims are in a medium serious condition.
"To the attention of residents of the city of Kharkiv and the region: stay in shelters as long as possible!" - urged the head of the Regionally Military Administration.
