Russia's manpower advantage can be leveled near Avdiivka - Freedom Legion officer
Major Maksym Morozov, officer with the Freedom Legion says that the Russian forces are turning the Avdiivka industrial zone into a gray zone
He said this on Espreso TV.
"The situation is really critical. There is indeed an accumulation of manpower on the part of Russian forces. Over the past weeks, there have been assaults by enemy manpower. However, a sufficient number of artillery shells and ‘kamikaze’ drones can offset this Russia's advantage at any time," Morozov emphasized.
According to a Freedom Legion officer, the Russian troops cannot take control of the Avdiivka industrial area.
"The temperature is currently above freezing, everything is melting, and there is a huge amount of water in our area. Accordingly, the Russian assault actions are decreasing because the fields are impassable. The situation remains difficult in the industrial zone. The invading troops are turning it into a gray zone, but they cannot take it under control. The Ukrainian Defense Forces are currently holding back the Russian army, eliminating the enemy soldiers. The Russians are attacking the flanks and the industrial zone head-on," Morozov added.
- The Ukrainian Armed Forces continue to hold the line around Avdiivka and have counterattacked near the city over the past day.
- Ukrainian troops continue to steadfastly hold the line near Avdiivka, Donetsk region, and destroy the Russian forces - 1,080 soldiers per day.
