Russian troops fail to block highway supplying AFU in Bakhmut
AFU are doing everything they can to prevent the Russian troops from blocking the highway supplying the Ukrainian military in Bakhmut
Spokesman for the Eastern Grouping of Ukraine's Armed Forces Serhii Cherevatyi said during the telethon that the enemy has not managed to seize the road.
“So far, they have not succeeded. Everything is being done to prevent them from blocking the movement of our units. All necessary munitions, equipment, and food are being delivered to Bakhmut,” he said.
Cherevatyi noted that Bakhmut is still one of the main areas of the enemy's attack.
“They fired 197 times from multiple launch rocket systems at our positions, and 42 combat engagements took place. The enemy suffered heavy losses in personnel over the last day: 277 soldiers were killed, and 258 were wounded of varying degrees. Combats took place near Spirne, Krasna Hora, Paraskoviivka, Bakhmut and Klishchiivka,” the spokesman commented.
