Russian largest artillery group in the entire combat zone is concentrated near Bakhmut
Oleksandr Kovalenko, military-political observer of Information Resistance group, noted that Russian troops have two problems in Bakhmut direction: the first is lack of proportional amount of ammunition to the artillery, and the second is logistics.
He told this live on air of Espreso TV channel.
"Today, Bakhmut is a fortress, a trap that draws resources of Russian occupying forces from this bridgehead, so they cannot redeploy or regroup its forces in other directions. The largest artillery group of the Russian army in the entire combat zone is now concentrated near Bakhmut, so on the other Russian forces' bridgeheads there is lack not only of ammunition, but also of artillery," military-political observer of Information Resistance group said.
Oleksandr Kovalenko added that in recent weeks, Ukrainian Armed Forces made a number of fairly successful attacks on Russian warehouses with ammunition, especially in Irmino area (a town in Alchevsk district of Luhansk region - ed.), where there was the largest ammunition warehouse in this location, from which artillery ammunition was supplied to Russian occupying forces to Bakhmut.
"Russian troops now experience even greater deficit. And today Russian forces have two problems in the Bakhmut region: the first is lack of proportional amount of ammunition to their artillery, and the second is logistics. Russian occupying forces primarily use Rokade roads (bypass roads - ed.), in order to provide their units with ammunition. Accordingly, we can say that in the coming months they may really have a situation of rather serious shortage of ammunition, which will affect Russian capabilities for offensive actions, and even for defensive ones. This is what we can already feel due to the actions of our defenders of Bakhmut, because they were able to counterattack some positions and even take them back, knocking out Russian occupying forces from there," Kovalenko explained.
