Russia will try to use Belarus, northern front in war against Ukraine
Russia will try to use Belarus and the northern front in the war against Ukraine because this is too great an opportunity not to take advantage of it
This was stated by military expert Glen Grant.
The expert emphasized that Russia still has significant intentions to involve Belarus in the war and will most likely utilize the Belarusians and the northern front, which presents too great an opportunity for Russia to pass up. This may not happen immediately, but within the next three to six months or a year, Ukraine cannot ignore this possibility.
Glen Grant noted that currently, the initiative lies with the Russian Federation, and Ukraine must regain control of it. The Russians can transfer their reserves anywhere, while the Ukrainians can only do so where the pace is dictated by the enemy. The expert stated that the Defense Forces have no other option but to allocate reserves to Bakhmut. However, the invaders will not stop there and will likely attack one or more locations to stretch the front line beyond Ukraine's defense capabilities. The Russians are performing well in some areas, and although Ukraine is holding its ground, if the Russians continue their tactics, they will inevitably make a breakthrough somewhere.
“Currently, Ukraine does not possess an adequate number of front-line troops of the required quality, including ammunition, weapons, and defense equipment positions, which are essential,” he explained.
