We will see China's final self-determination soon - political expert Morozov
Political expert Oleksandr Morozov believes that within 6 months, China will change its position on Russia's war with Ukraine and reduce the supply of dual-use goods to Russia
He expressed this opinion on Espreso TV.
"In my opinion, there is a rather crude opinion that China has completely taken Russia's side in this conflict, that behind Russia's back it is the source of the conflict with the West, etc. and that Putin is just a proxy for China. But I don't see it that way. I believe that China is a very large, truly independent player, as it was before," Morozov said.
The expert explained that despite the expansion of cooperation with Russia, mutually beneficial relations with Europe and the United States remain very important for China.
"Despite the fact that China has gained a relatively large market in Russia as a result of Russia's self-isolation, it is still extremely important for China to maintain its relations with the US and European countries. Europe remains the most reliable, expensive and calm market for China, and not only that. And the situation is the same with North America - the US, Canada, etc. So I think we will see within 6 months the final self-determination of China. And China, in my opinion, will comply, quite voluntarily, with the requirements to limit the supply of dual-use goods to Russia that are expected of it. It will comply with them," he added.
