Russia claims to mass produce 3-ton aerial FAB-3000 bombs
Russia claims that a defense industry enterprise in Nizhny Novgorod region has launched mass production of 3-ton FAB-3000 bombs and increased production of FAB-500 and FAB-1500
Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu reported the information during an inspection of the Nizhny Novgorod region's defense industry enterprises, according to RT propagandists.
The heads of the defense industry enterprises informed the minister that mass production of three-ton FAB-3000 aircraft bombs began in February.
Shoigu was also informed that enterprises in the Nizhny Novgorod region had increased the production of FAB-500 aircraft bombs many times over, and doubled the production of FAB-1500.
At a meeting on the results of the inspection, Shoigu announced changes in the production of artillery ammunition and components, Interfax reports.
"If we talk about the production of artillery ammunition, the production of components for this ammunition has increased almost 22 times, 75% of the components are being restored, which allows us to maintain a sufficient supply of shells to the special military operation zone. In other words, the tasks we set a year ago have been fulfilled. New workshops have been built, and they are working at full capacity," Shoigu said.
He also added that the enterprises work around the clock, in three shifts and seven days a week.
The Russian Defense Ministry added that since last year, the production of artillery and aviation ammunition has increased fivefold.
