British intelligence analyzes Shoigu's visit to Black Sea Fleet command post in Crimea
Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu visited the command post of the Black Sea Fleet in Crimea on March 17 in response to Ukraine's successful naval strike campaign

The Ministry of Defense of Great Britain stated that during the visit, Shoigu received updated information on Ukrainian operations and discussed the effectiveness of naval forces. Russian Ministry of Defense reports indicate that Shoigu announced new measures to reduce the threat from unmanned aerial and surface vehicles.
British intelligence highlights that special emphasis has been placed on conducting daily drone combat readiness exercises to enable ship crews to swiftly repel attacks, both day and night.
Shoigu also ordered the installation of additional large-caliber weapons at undisclosed locations to enhance defenses.
Experts from Britain's Ministry of Defense suggest that the Russian Navy is limiting its operations in the eastern Black Sea due to increasing losses and threat perceptions.
The British ministry emphasized that, as Ukraine continues to seek opportunities for long-range strikes, the Russian Ministry of Defense has intensified efforts to safeguard its fleet in the Black Sea.
