Russia tries to create 5-7 km 'no man's land' by constantly shelling Sumy region - head of Regional Military Administration Zhivytskyi
Dmytro Zhivytskyi, the head of the Sumy Oblast Military Administration, reported that the border settlements of the Sumy region are subjected to Russian enemy shelling on a daily basis
He told about this on Espresso.
"Actually, the nights pass more or less quietly, but in the morning the Russians start shelling the border settlements. Today, September 3, is no exception either, because in the morning the Velikopysarov community was shelled with mortars. Around noon, another Sumy community was shelled by the enemy from self-propelled guns district, the Krasnopil community was shelled three times," said the head of the Sumy regional military administration.
Dmytro Zhivytskyi noted that the border of the Sumy region is constantly being shelled from the territory of the Russian Federation.
"It seems that Russian terrorists want to create a gray zone and make the territory 5-7 km from the border almost uninhabitable. But people still refuse to leave the border settlements, citing the fact that they have livestock and are generally used to artillery fire.
"Fortunately, we haven't had any victims or victims of enemy shelling lately," Zhyvytskyi noted.
