Russia claims to have destroyed 87 drones: oil depot allegedly damaged
Russia's Defense Ministry reported the downing of 87 drones. As a result of the attack in the Voronezh region, an oil depot was allegedly damaged, and problems with power supply were reported in the Rostov region
The Russian Defense Ministry reports.
"Last night, an attempt by the Kyiv regime to carry out a terrorist attack using unmanned aircraft of the airplane type against facilities in the Russian Federation was prevented," the statement says.
Thus, according to the Russian ministry, air defense forces destroyed or intercepted 87 drones:
- 2 - over the Belgorod region,
- 2 - over the Volgograd region,
- 6 - over Voronezh region,
- 6 - over the Kursk region,
- 70 - over Rostov region,
- one over the temporarily occupied Crimea.
The consequences of the attack are reported by the interim governor of Kursk region Alexei Smirnov, the governors of Voronezh region Alexander Gusev and Rostov region Vasily Golubev.
It is noted that in the Voronezh region, drones tried to attack an oil depot. According to preliminary information, several drones damaged fuel tanks.
Meanwhile, a UAV attack in the Rostov region caused damage to the power supply. Several settlements in the Russian Federation were left without electricity.
At the same time, Alexei Smirnov reported the downing of 5 drones over Kursk.
