Russia recruits Ukrainian teenagers on temporarily occupied territories
Yug molodoy a Russian propaganda “leisure center” for teenagers, a recruitment center in reality, operates on the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine
This is reported by the National Resistance Center.
"Russian representatives conduct propaganda activities to recruit teenagers and destroy their self-awareness. For example, a propaganda center Yug molodoy (young south) operates on the temporarily occupied territories. The center disguises recruitment agenda as leisure activities for teenagers,” the National Resistance Center reports.
The backbone of the recruitment movement is made up of Russian "volunteers" (activists of the youth wing of United Russia political party). Several local Russia’s supporters are also involved. The movement is engaged in increasing support among locals, and organizes lectures for young people given by Russian politicians, bloggers and pop stars sent by the Kremlin for propaganda purposes.
Meanwhile, school students in Crimea are forced to participate in "patriotic training" such as Zarnitsa and Orlenok. In reality, these are military sports games Russia uses to brainwash children regarding the war in Ukraine.
The National Resistance Center urges parents, if possible, to leave the region with their children to not let them become a resource for the enemy. "Provide your children with a future. We will return home after the de-occupation of the territory," the center urges.
