Russia may stage false-flag attacks at Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant during IAEA mission - General Malomuzh
The head of Ukraine's Foreign Intelligence Service 2005-2010, Mykola Malomuzh, believes that Moscow may stage false-flag attacks at the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant (NPP) during the IAEA mission
He expressed this opinion on the air of the Verdict with Serhiy Rudenko program on Espreso TV.
"Today, the IAEA mission is in Kyiv and will soon move to the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant and will be at the plant for several days. However, not the whole world perceives the actions of the Russians at the Zaporizhzhia NPP as a threat. Russia can prepare provocations at the plant even during the visit of the IAEA mission. In particular, to fire at the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant and blame Ukraine for this", Malomuzh said.
The general emphasized that Ukraine should pay more attention to the problem of the Russians' aggressive takeover of the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant.
"The IAEA and the UN perform only a technical function. For them, the most important thing is that the state of the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant is intact. However, the fact that the Zaporizhzhia NPP is seized by the Russians does not concern them at all. Therefore, we must raise this issue at all international platforms and say that the largest nuclear power plant in Europe is captured by an aggressor country, which could lead to a nuclear catastrophe", he added.
