Russia kills 347 children, injures 646 more since starting its war in Ukraine
Russian forces have killed 347 children, injured 646 more and damaged 2,108 educational institutions since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine
The Prosecutor General's Office shared the figures in Telegram.
"As of the morning of July 7, more than 993 children have suffered in Ukraine as a result of Russia's full-scale armed aggression. According to official information from the youth justice and prosecution service, 347 children have been killed and more than 646 injured," the statement reads.
The data is not final, because it continues to be established in places of active hostilities, in temporarily occupied and liberated territories.
The most children were affected in Donetsk region - 347, Kharkiv region - 186, Kyiv region - 116, Chernihiv region - 68, Luhansk region - 61, Mykolaiv region - 53, Kherson region - 52, Zaporizhzhya region - 31.
On July 6, Russian forces launched a missile attack on Toretsk in the Donetsk region. A 17-year-old girl was found under the rubble of one of the destroyed houses.
On July 6, a Russian missile attack on Skadovsk injured a child in the Kherson region.
"Due to bombing and shelling by the armed forces of the Russian Federation, 2,108 educational institutions were damaged. Of them, 215 were completely destroyed," added the Prosecutor General's Office.
