Russia keeps troops in border areas of Bryansk, Kursk regions - General Staff
Russia has armed forces groupings positioned in the Bryansk and Kursk regions bordering Ukraine. Belarusian troops continue to strengthen the protection of the Belarusian-Ukrainian border.
The General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces shared the report on Facebook.
"In the Siversk region, the enemy continues to hold units of the armed forces of the Russian Federation in the border areas of the Bryansk and Kursk regions in order to constrain the actions of the units of the Defense Forces," the message says.
Russia also shelled the areas of Vovkivka, Yastrubyne and Popivka settlements of the Sumy region with barrel artillery.
The situation in the Volhynia and Polissya directions has not changed significantly. Units of the Belarusian Armed Forces continue to carry out the task of strengthening the protection of the section of the Belarusian-Ukrainian border in the Brest and Gomel regions.
There is still a threat of the enemy launching missile and air strikes from the territory and airspace of Belarus.
