"Russia 'congratulates' Ukrainians on Independence Day": reports of mines laid are investigated in cities across Ukraine
On August 24, an anonymous person claimed that a number of locations in cities across Ukraine had been mined. Law enforcement officers are investigating the claims
Ihor Zinkevych, a deputy of the Lviv City Council, reported about mining in Lviv, Espreso.West reports.
"Anonymous information was received about the mining of 5 objects in the city of Lviv: the Railway Station, the Bus Station, the Magnus Shopping Center, the Vynnykivskyi Market, and the Krakow Market'', he wrote.
Explosives experts, dog handlers, an investigative team, as well as experts from other services are working at the scene.
There is also information about possible mines in Rivne.
"Friends, the enemy 'congratulates' us on Ukraine's Independence Day with a series of messages about landmines. In Rivne, letters were received about explosives at three objects: the railway station, the old bus station, and the Sahaidachny market. The explosive devices of the national police, rescuers, and Ukraine's Security Service went to inspect. The workers and visitors have been evacuated", the head of Rivne Regional Military Administration noted.
Later, Mukachevo also joined the wave of mines. Law enforcement officers report that 4 objects were mined.
