President Vladimir Putin underestimates US determination to support Ukraine, he will have to “face up to increasing costs”

This was stated by CIA Director William Burns, AP reports
He is convinced that Putin underestimates the US determination to support Ukraine. According to him, the Russian leader’s view is that Americans have “attention deficit disorder and we’ll move on to some other issue eventually.”
"I think Putin is, right now, entirely too confident of his ability to wear down Ukraine," he said.
Burns added that "at some point, he’s going to have to face up to increasing costs as well, in coffins coming home to some of the poorest parts of Russia,” where he said many of the conscripts “being thrown as cannon fodder”.

The United States government has begun allocating additional budget support to Ukraine in the total amount of almost $10 billion.
