Putin may use tactical nuclear weapons in Ukraine – US National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan
The United States believes that Russia's use of tactical nuclear weapons in Ukraine is possible, but unlikely in the near future
According to the sources of Politico, this position was announced by US National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan in a video conversation with a group of experts.
"Sullivan said that there’s truly no concern that Vladimir Putin would use strategic nuclear weapons on Ukraine or on Western allies," the journalists pointed out.
However, the publication adds that, according to the security advisor to the US president, "there are still internal fears he (Puin – ed.) might order the use of tactical nuclear weapons in the Ukrainian battlefield, though there’s currently no acute sign that that’s going to happen soon."

ISW experts explained that the Kremlin did not comment on the anniversary of the invasion of Ukraine because it had not achieved "any significant success."
