The author shared the details in the Saturday Political Club program on Espreso TV.
"30% of supporters of Russia's war against Ukraine are compensating for the troubles associated with dissatisfaction with the government's activities. As long as Putin is fighting with Ukraine, he can have no doubts about the Russians' support", Portnikov said.
The journalist added that Russians have a normal attitude to troubles caused by the war.
"The Russian Empire historically formed as it is, because the Russian people believe that a war of aggression is the normal state of the state. Russians are normal to the fact that because of the war they live badly, lose their children, and so on", Vitaly Portnikov said.
