Podolyak reacts to Russian Ambassador to Austria's Tweet calling for Ukrainian people to be treated mercilessly
Mykhailo Podolyak, adviser to the head of the Ukrainian President's Office, has reacted to a tweet by Mikhail Ulyanov, the Russian Ambassador to Austria, who called for the Ukrainian people to be shown "no mercy"
Mykhailo Podolyak, adviser to the head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, reacted to the words of the Russian Ambassador to Austria, Mikhail Ulyanov, on Twitter.
It is known that earlier Volodymyr Zelenskyy thanked the US on Twitter for another batch of military aid. Ulyanov responded to this tweet with the words "No mercy to the population of Ukraine!", but later deleted the post.
Mykhailo Podolyak answered the Russian official.
"The Deputy Ambassador of the Russian Federation in Austria, Mikhail Ulyanov, declares the need for a "final solution to the Ukrainian issue" and calls for genocide. Europe heard again: "Not all Russians are like Putin" and "Nord Stream-2 should be allowed to work". Time to understand: the Russian Federation - this is the fascist vertical of millions of people", he said.
Later, Mikhail Ulyanov wrote that his Tweet was misunderstood.
"I must apologise. I forgot who I was dealing with. I meant, of course, the US with its arms shipments and the president of Ukraine who said he rejected any peace talks. Really, no mercy from them to the Ukrainian population. This is what I said", he concluded.
