Kyslivka, Kotliarivka are hottest spots in Kharkiv region's Kupyansk district - local official

"The Kupyansk direction has been and remains quite tense. In general, the situation has not changed, except that over the past month the geography has expanded a little. The front line now stretches across the entire Petropavlivka community, from Sinkivka to Kyslivka, Tabaivka and Berestove. If the enemy used to focus on Synkivka, then switched to Tabaivka, today the most threatening and active points in Kupyansk district are Kyslivka and Kotliarivka. There is fighting in these settlements, the enemy is constantly conducting assault operations there," commented the head of the Kupyansk Regional Military Administration.

According to him, Russian soldiers are storming Berestove, where drones are constantly flying in, and continue to attack near Synkivka, but there they have been trying to break through Ukrainian defenses for more than six months to reach the left bank of Kupyansk and Kupyansk-Vuzlovyi.

"The situation is difficult, but it is fully under control. Today we have switched our attention to the situation in the north, as the communities of Kupyansk district are located next to the communities of Vovchansk, where the enemy launched massive attacks with multiple rocket launchers at night. We are monitoring the situation to make prompt decisions on evacuating the population. At the moment, we do not see any large-scale enemy offensive. There are military units and fortifications in that area, so we have everything we need to hold the front and give a decent fight," Andriy Kanashevych said.

• On May 10, the Russian occupation army intensified its attacks in the northern sector. The enemy tried to break through the Ukrainian defenses in the Kharkiv region at around 5am.
• Tamaz Gambarashvili, the head of the Vovchansk Military Administration, said that the population was being evacuated from Vovchansk and the surrounding settlements of the Kharkiv region due to very intense shelling by the Russian army.
