New sanctions on Russia should block Russia's nuclear industry - Zelenskyy

This was said by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy during an evening video address.

He emphasized that the Russian invaders are hiding behind the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant in order to shell Nikopol and Marhanets, as well as arrange provocations with shelling of the territory of the nuclear power plant.

"Every day that Russians stay on the territory of the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant and in the neighboring areas of our country increases the radiation threat to Europe so much that even at the peak of the confrontation during the Cold War, this was not the case. Of course, there should be a strong reaction to this.  Ukrainian diplomats and representatives of partner states will do everything to ensure that new sanctions against Russia necessarily block the Russian nuclear industry", the president said.

According to Zelenskyy, all officials of the terrorist state, as well as those who help them, will be responsible for these actions in the international court.

"It will definitely happen. And every Russian soldier who either shoots at the station, or shoots under the cover of the station, must understand that he is becoming a special target for our intelligence, for our special services, as well as for our army", he said.

The president also thanked everyone who defends this direction and others where fierce battles continue.
