Elon Musk has suggested that military conflicts in the Middle East and Ukraine could escalate into World War III. He called on the US to improve relations with Russia

He made the statement during a discussion at Spaces on the X platform, as reported by the Wall Street Journal and Globally News.

"We need to figure out peace in Ukraine, and I think we need to restore normal relations with Russia," Musk said, adding that there is no resistance against Russia in the regions of Ukraine where there are many Russian speakers and that a peaceful border between them can be agreed.

The owner of SpaceX and Tesla said that the US is pushing Russia to unite with Iran and China and that such an alliance could defeat the West in a major war.

He also said that the United States should not engage in a violent conflict with China and Russia, as this would be a disaster. He explained that Russia has a lot of natural resources and China has a very strong industry and that this makes them dangerous rivals.

Musk called on the US to do everything possible to prevent World War III and prevent a “local conflict” from becoming a global one. He also believes that Ukraine's defense against Russia has no chance of success.

Republican presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy also joined Musk at the Spaces session, organized by venture capitalist David Sacks. Ramaswamy agreed with Musk that World War III would be a disaster for the US and that it should be avoided at all costs.

Ukrainian President's Office response

Mykhailo Podolyak, advisor to the head of the President’s Office, believes that without supporting Ukraine, the war will not end, but will only fuel conflicts around the world and destroy international law.

"Musk believes that the 'surrender of Ukraine' to the knife of a mandatory large-scale Russian genocide will lead us to the end of the war and 'eternal peace'. This is a catastrophic mistake. Refusing to support Ukraine will definitely not end the war, but it will inevitably lead to a sharp multiplication of conflicts around the world, the end of the era of international law, the collapse of the international economy and the triumph of the forces of evil. Any doubts become a breeding ground for aggressors, exciting their minds with thoughts of the West's weakness. We saw the echoes of these doubts in Israel," he wrote.

He agrees with Musk, who says that Russian aggression in Ukraine is a global and civilisational threat.

Musk's stance on the wars in Ukraine and Israel

Musk's position on the war in Ukraine is quite scandalous and pro-Russian. He has advocated for ideas such as recognizing Crimea as part of Russia, as it has been since 1783, and declaring Ukraine's neutrality and refusal to join NATO.

Musk said that there is no anti-Russian insurgency in the Russian-occupied regions of Ukraine, implying that the residents of these territories accept the occupation. This contradicts the facts about the active resistance of Ukrainian patriots against the Russian invaders.

He also contacted Putin before the publication of his "peace plan" for Ukraine, which indicates his sympathy for the Russian leader.

Businessman Elon Musk said that many people are dying during the Ukrainian counteroffensive for the sake of "insignificant" territorial gains.

On October 2, the American billionaire, founder of Space X and Tesla, Elon Musk published a meme with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy regarding US military aid.

He was criticised for failing to condemn Hamas's violence against Israeli civilians and for not publicly showing his solidarity with the Israeli people.

The European Union may take measures against X (Twitter), as the social network is widely spreading disinformation about the war in Israel.
