More than 10 million Ukrainians have no electricity today - Zelenskyy
On November 17, after the Russian strikes, new emergency blackouts were introduced in addition to the planned stabilisation ones
Volodymyr Zelenskyy said this in his evening statement.
"Again, emergency blackouts in addition to planned, stabilization ones. Currently, more than 10 million Ukrainians are without electricity. Most of them are in Vinnytsia, Odesa, Sumy and Kyiv regions. We are doing everything possible to normalize supplies," the president said.
He also recalled the most fatal blows to Ukraine:
"In Dnipro city, dozens of people were injured in a missile strike. Everyone is provided with assistance. In Zaporizhzhia, the debris of a residential building, which was destroyed by Russian shelling last night, is being dismantled... The list of dead includes seven people. Unfortunately, this number may increase. In the first half of today alone, our defence forces managed to shoot down six Russian cruise missiles and five Shahed missiles. Unfortunately, not all of them were launched by terrorists."
