Lukashenko is to meet Putin to "resolve problems in relations"
The self-proclaimed president of Belarus, Aleksandr Lukashenko, announced that he will hold another meeting with Russian dictator Vladimir Putin on May 24
Lukashenko's official website reports this.
Lukashenko expressed his lack of confidence in his government officials' claims of no relations between Belarus and the Russian Federation, prompting him to schedule another meeting with Putin on May 24 to address these issues.
"I'm told by the government that there are hardly any problems. I don't quite believe that. I can see that there are still issues, inconsistencies, and bureaucratic hurdles. Who is responsible for this? Therefore, during my upcoming meeting with President Putin in Moscow the day after tomorrow, we will discuss and resolve these problems that should not exist in our relations," Lukashenko stated.
The Eurasian Economic Forum and the highest Eurasian Economic Council meetings will take place in Moscow on May 24-25.
