Insufficient Wagner mercenaries in Belarus to create strike group - State Border Guard Service
State Border Guard Service spokesman Andriy Demchenko says that there are currently several hundred Wagner soldiers in Belarus, but that there are not enough of them to create a strike group
He said this during the telethon.
He noted that despite this, intelligence continues to monitor the movement and deployment of mercenaries in the country.
"Our intelligence reports that some groups of mercenaries have been deployed in Belarus, but we are not talking about any massive or large-scale deployment of PMC representatives. We are talking about a few hundred who are located in pre-prepared places for deployment. We are continuing to monitor the situation to understand where exactly in Belarus they will be deployed. This number does not pose any threat to Ukraine to create a strike group," says Demchenko.
However, he emphasized that Belarus could use them for other purposes, for example, to destabilize the situation on the border with Ukraine or other countries.
The spokesman also said that the Wagner mercenaries are now 100 kilometers from the border with Ukraine.

On the morning of July 15, a large convoy of cars and trucks with license plates of the so-called "DPR" and "LPR" was spotted in Belarus. These were probably mercenaries of the Wagner PMC. The State Border Guard Service confirmed this information.
