Housing for displaced people to be created near Lviv
A temporary shelter for internally displaced people in Ukraine will be created on the site of a senior citizens' living facility that was still under construction. The project, in Vekyli Grabovychi, is the first of its kind in the Lviv region.
Lviv city council shared the details, reports Espreso.West.
To implement the plan, the city attracted charitable aid from the German Company for International Cooperation GIZ. These funds cover 50% of the housing cost.
Urban agglomeration department director Yuriy Lukashevsky said that the decent conditions for simultaneous accommodation of 70 to 150 people, especially mothers with children, will be provided based on the people's house.
"The house has 18 rooms and a large room where you can place a dining room, kitchen and seating area. Without significant redevelopment, you can make 8 showers and 10 toilets, 2 rooms for washing and drying clothes," said Lukashevsky.
After the victory, the people's house will return to its direct functions. There will be various classes, administration services center, Lviv community office and other necessary services for the local community.
