False-flag attacks by Russian forces are possible not only at Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant, but also at Ukraine's other nuclear facilities - intelligence
The threat of shelling is not limited to the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant. Other nuclear facilities in Ukraine are also under the sights of the invading Russian forces.
Andrii Yusov, the spokesman of Ukraine's Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications, stated this on the air of the telethon.
"Unfortunately, we can now talk not only about the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant. The Russian aggressor is systematically and methodically shelling the entire energy infrastructure of Ukraine, and this, without a doubt, may eventually affect other nuclear facilities and other nuclear plants. In particular, the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant, which is in a critical situation due to numerous Russian shelling," Yusov noted.
He also added that there is information about certain preparations for further provocations and shelling of the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant.
"The fact that the personnel of the Russian aggressor has a plan to stay in the shelter during their signals, that is, there is a movement of equipment, there is a systematic activity to damage power lines, of which there are only a few left now, which connect the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant with the Ukrainian power system. After all, we have already seen the consequences of previous attacks on the plant and not only attacks. We are talking about systemic nuclear terrorism, terror of the local population, as well as terror of the civilian personnel of the station. In fact, the terrorist state seized the nuclear facility and, seeing a certain impunity on the part of the international community, is now scaling this story to the entire energy system of Ukraine," he said.
Yusov said that the Russian Federation is preparing a humanitarian catastrophe and crisis on the eve of winter.
He noted that the Russian Federation still has a large number of X-22 missiles, which it can use to strike Ukraine's energy infrastructure facilities far from the front line.
"The latest strikes on the energy system and critical infrastructure of Ukraine are planned actions of the Russian aggressor, and it is quite possible to imagine other scenarios. Ukraine, for its part, is preparing for this. But it is also a challenge to the whole world, how actively Ukraine should be helped in matters of ensuring anti-aircraft defense," Yusov concluded.
