Erdogan's proposals to base further agreements on grain scheme are absolutely counterproductive for Ukraine - diplomat Chaly
Valery Chaly, diplomat extraordinary and plenipotentiary ambassador of Ukraine, believes that the only possible outcome of the war, after liberation, is Ukraine together with the US, UK, Poland and other NATO countries on one side, and on the other side the country that will be defeated, with their satellites
He expressed this opinion on Espreso.
The diplomat commented on the initiatives of the President of Turkey at a meeting with the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, on August 18 in Lviv.
"President Erdoğan's proposals to base further agreements or peace on the basis of the grain agreement scheme are absolutely counterproductive for Ukraine. Because it can be in the interests of a group of countries during a war, partly in the interests of Russia, and even partly in the interests of Ukrainian food producers. It is important to us to prepare for a new crop and give people some funds. But this variant does not work for peace. The only variant, in my opinion, for the outcome of the war after de-occupation is Ukraine with the USA, Great Britain, Poland and other NATO countries on one side, and on the other side, the country that will be defeated, with its satellites. This is the only option. If a similar scheme continues to unfold(let’s do he same without Western allies), then this is a very slippery road to nowhere," noted the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Ukraine .
Valery Chaly noted that this position is also understood in the Office of the President of Ukraine.
