Children in danger: fourth wave of mandatory evacuation hits Donetsk region
Oleksandra Havrylko, communication department head of the National Police of the Donetsk region, noted that as of now, 124 children are left in the Toretsk community, and 84 children in Toretsk itself
She shared the information on Espreso TV.
"The situation in the Donetsk region is difficult, as always, there is constant shelling. We are documenting the consequences of shelling in the Avdiivka, Bakhmut and Toretsk directions. Unfortunately, over the last day we have lost two civilians. A day later, we know about the death of an entire family, three people in the Velyka Novosilka direction in the village of Bohatyr. Unfortunately, the shelling continues, and civilians continue to die. In their turn, the police and White Angels evacuation groups are working in all directions and conducting mandatory evacuations, as well as forced evacuations for children," said the head of the communication department.
According to her, the fourth wave of forced evacuations is now taking place in different directions: it started in Bakhmut, then spread to the Bakhmut district, then to the Marinka and Krasnohorivka directions, where there are no children left.
"And now the fourth wave of forced evacuation is underway, which is taking place in several Krasnohorivka and Ocheretne communities, as well as in the Toretsk community. The most active evacuation is underway in the Toretsk direction, and we are now working on the city itself and the surrounding areas. As of today, 124 children are left in the Toretsk community, and 84 children in Toretsk itself, and this is a really big number," summarized Oleksandra Havrylko.
