Vitality of the USSR

The long-standing idea that Ukraine is at war not just with Russia, but with the USSR and its transformed version, can be expanded to include the entire 'axis of evil'. 

Russia is a country that took the worst of the USSR and capitalism.

China is a country that took the best from the USSR and capitalism.

Iran is the USSR, where, in honor of the millennium of the baptism of Rus, the monks of the Pechersk, Pochayiv, and Sviatohirsk Lavras seized power.

North Korea is the USSR, where in the early 1950s Beria, not Khrushchev, was the one to win, and his grandson now rules the country, having turned it into a concentration camp with his grandfather and father.

Belarus is the USSR, where the head of the collective farm won the first and last free elections.

*Bir sum, bir som, bir manat.   

*(a Soviet ruble had the inscription in Russian “one ruble” and the name of the currency in the languages of Soviet republics, symbolizing their “friendship”. “Bir” stood for “one”, while sum is the currency of Uzbekistan, som is the Kyrgyz currency, and manat is the currency of Azerbaijan – ed.)
