Ukrainian soldiers reveal FPV drone impressive weapon destruction stats in two missions
An impressive demonstration of the effectiveness of FPV drones in neutralizing Russian weaponry and military assets was showcased by the Asgard strike group on social media
Defense Express writes about it.
During two recent missions, the Asgard strike group achieved a remarkable milestone by destroying a total of 21 Russian weapons and personnel. Among the notable targets was a 2C4 Tulpan self-propelled mortar, which ignited a dramatic explosion when struck by the FPV drone operator's precision shot.
In addition to this, the Asgard strike group successfully eliminated a 122-mm self-propelled artillery system (2C1 Gvozdika) and a 122-mm trailed howitzer (D-30). Tank statistics indicate one T-80 destroyed and four others damaged. Furthermore, an armored personnel carrier was destroyed, with another sustaining damage. The drone operators also targeted an artillery fire control vehicle and decimated 10 units of enemy automotive equipment, resulting in significant disruptions to Russia’s reconnaissance efforts.
It's evident from these statistics that attack drones are playing a pivotal role in undermining the capabilities of the Russian occupying forces. Ukraine’s Ministry of Digital Transformation previously released data highlighting the substantial impact of UAVs and “kamikaze” drones from the Army of Drones project on Russian army losses. Comparing this data with figures from the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces for the same period reveals that, for instance, Russian drones accounted for 57% of all destroyed armored vehicles, 44% of tanks, and 20.1% of artillery systems within a week.
Moreover, a recent video surfaced online, depicting one of Ukraine's FPV drones attempting to engage a Russian Ka-52 helicopter.
