Ukraine to have more NASAMS air defense systems – Stefanchuk

The Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada, Ukraine’s parliament, Ruslan Stefanchuk reported this. 

Stefanchuk visited a company in Norway that produces NASAMS air defense systems.

“Today I visited a company that produces, among other things, NASAMS air defense systems. We have them in Ukraine and we need more. And there will be more! Soon! Very soon!” Stefanchuk wrote.

He said that together with Eirik Lie, President of Kongsberg Defense & Aerospace, and Masud Gharahkhani, President of Storting, he discussed increasing the supply of air defense systems to the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

“In order to more effectively shoot down everything that Russia is firing at peaceful Ukrainian cities in agony, and to defend ourselves against the brutal attacks that Russia continues to carry out against Ukraine,” Stefanchuk added.

• “We used to hear that Patriot was supposedly unrealistic. And now here it is, Patriot. And that's not all.” Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy commended the work of the air defense system and thanked everyone involved in strengthening Ukraine’s defense.
