Target was extremely precisely chosen: military expert about strike on repair docks in Sevastopol
Defense Express CEO Serhiy Zgurets notes that Ukraine is effectively destroying key Russian military facilities used for attacks on Ukraine's territory
He said this on the Espreso TV channel.
"The main positive news of this day is the strike on Sevastopol, the strike on the base of the Russian Black Sea Fleet, on the dry docks where 2 Russian warships were being repaired. A large Ropycha-class amphibious assault ship, like the Olenegorsky Gornyak, which is currently being repaired in Novorossiysk, and a Kilo-class submarine. This submarine is used to launch cruise missiles at Ukraine," explained Zgurets.
According to the expert, Ukraine is effectively destroying key Russian military facilities used for attacks.
"The Russians have very few dry docks where they can carry out repair work. This strike will have a significant impact on the further maintenance of Russian warships. The target that was destroyed was extremely precisely chosen and has a multiplier effect. The Sevastopol shipyard is a basic enterprise. It is used as a base and storage facility for other components needed for Russian military operations. I do not exclude that there were additional strikes that caused the destruction of Russian stockpiles and ammunition," Zgurets added.
