Shoigu launches fake that Russian air defense shot down 24 aircraft in 5 days
Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu promotes a fake narrative about Russian air defense that allegedly shot down 24 Ukrainian aircraft in 5 days
This is reported by the Center for Countering Disinformation.
"The Russian army has developed systems that have shot down 24 Ukrainian aircraft in 5 days," said Shoigu.
At the same time, he does not say what kind of systems these are, where they were used, or what aircraft were allegedly shot down.
"It is not the first time that Russian propaganda, in particular the top military and political leadership, has spread such fables about destroyed Ukrainian military equipment. Earlier, enemy propagandists claimed that the Russian military destroyed the first American M1 Abrams tank, which was not yet in Ukraine," writes the Center for Countering Disinformation.
The Center emphasizes that such fake statements are aimed at raising the motivation and morale of the Russian army.
