Baerbock will visit China on Sunday, December 1, as part of her working visit. The next day, she will meet with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi and discuss, in particular, Russia's war against Ukraine.
German Foreign Ministry spokesman Christian Wagner said that one of the important aspects of the conversation would be Beijing's possible support for Moscow, Ukrinform reports.
‘Russia's aggressive war against Ukraine harms the interests of Europe... We are concerned when third countries support Russia in its war, either with dual-use goods or weapons. This is done bypassing international sanctions... Such support will, of course, have consequences,’ he explained.
- On November 25, it was reported that the G7 countries intend to increase pressure on China over its support for Russia in the war against Ukraine - diplomats promise to ‘take appropriate measures’.
