Peace is possible only through strength: Scholz tells Zelenskyy details of his call to Putin

The president of Ukraine wrote about it on Telegram.

Zelenskyy thanked Germany for its leadership in helping Ukraine with air defense systems — the very effective Patriot and IRIS-T, which have already saved thousands of lives, the president said.

‘I am grateful to the Chancellor for his willingness to continue to support Ukraine, in particular our defense against Russian aggression and our resilience. We have discussed how our bilateral steps and those of our partners can strengthen Ukraine,’ the leader of Ukraine informed.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy stressed the importance of increasing pressure on Russia and strengthening Ukraine's positions, as this is what will force Russia to real peace.

The German Chancellor told Zelenskyy about the details of his call to Putin.

‘It is obvious that only the power of arms and the power of diplomacy together can force the perpetrator of war to peace, and that peace is possible only through strength,’ the Ukrainian president commented.
