Russia’s fakes on January 10: US withdrew from Afghanistan to focus on Ukraine and teenagers receive summonses
The Center for Countering Disinformation published a selection of fakes that Russia produced on January 10
It is reported by Espreso.TV channel.
On January 10, Ukrainian National Security and Defense Council claims Russia launched three major deceptions.
Manipulation: Russian President's spokesman Dmitry Peskov said: "Indirectly, NATO and the United States are certainly involved in the conflict [in Ukraine]... De facto, they have already become an indirect party to this conflict, pumping Ukraine with weapons, technology, intelligence information. So, their involvement is obvious here."
Disinformation: Russian Security Council Secretary Nikolai Patrushev claims the US suddenly withdrew from Afghanistan to focus on Ukraine: "The sudden withdrawal of the American authorities from this country, as it turned out, was largely because they wanted to focus on Ukraine. Their estimates stated the preparation of the Kyiv puppet regime for offensive anti-Russian actions was going well."
Fake: Hostile media reported: "Ukraine has started issuing summonses to teenagers" and stated that "mothers... should go to the Maidan and demolish the Ukrainian junta [as] Zelenskyy will fight to the last Ukrainian, including women."
