Russian-occupied Kherson is not isolated Crimea, it calls out for military liberation - Ukrainian MP Chiygoz
European Solidarity party MP Akhtem Chiygoz believes there is a real need for a military scenario to liberate the occupied Kherson region, since it is not isolated, like Crimea.
The politician expressed his opinion on Espreso.
"Crimea is different from Kherson because Crimea was isolated quickly and is a peninsula. But Kherson is not a peninsula, so to slow down the process of the Russian occupation we need to develop a military scenario and think clearly about military activity. The military lines of development in the Kherson area are large and it's impossible to blockade such a vast expanse of territory," said Chiygoz.
The MP stressed that we cannot blame people for trying to make a living under occupation. He added that calls alone will not stop the occupation.
"For a while people will continue to resist the Russians, but we need to decide whether we help the local population to resist Russians or whether we wait for the right time to attack. There will not be a partisan movement inside occupied Kherson, because people don't have weapons. There are enough people who would join the Territorial Defense, but they wouldn’t be enough weapons," said Akhtem Chiygoz.
