Situation is getting more complicated in Chasiv Yar — City Military Administration
Serhii Chaus, head of the Chasiv Yar City Military Administration, says that the town is undergoing more and more destruction due to constant Russian shelling
He said this on Espreso.
"The situation in Chasiv Yar is the most difficult one ever. The shelling is intensifying every day. Today, April 4, is just a crazy day, fortunately without casualties, but a lot of fires and damaged housing. Every day we see this picture, so it is getting more and more difficult. We can feel that the enemy's offensive is intensifying," said the head of the Chasiv Yar City Military Administration.
According to him, there is virtually no business left in the city, with only one store currently operating.
"The basic needs of the townspeople are met on a point-by-point basis. There are recharging stations connected to generators, so people can charge their gadgets, phones, laptops and flashlights. Water is a more complicated issue, because it needs to be delivered. We have a well, but it is difficult to provide more than 700 people with water. There are humanitarian aid distribution points equipped with water tanks. People can come there and get water. However, Russia is attacking civilians using FPV drones, such facts have been recorded repeatedly," said Chaus.
- On April 3, National Guard Major Denys Nahornyi, Chief of Staff of the 4th Rubizh Brigade Artillery, said that Chasiv Yar was the Russians' target after Avdiivka.
- Also, Andrii Otchenash, the crew commander of the Kara Nebesna UAV unit, said that there are 7-10 Russians per Ukrainian soldier near Chasiv Yar. The operational situation is difficult.
