Russia pulls up reserves in south fearing breakthrough – Ukrainian Armed Forces
The spokesman for the joint press centre of the Tavria Defence Forces, Oleksandr Shtupun, said that the Ukrainian Armed Forces are preparing for further actions by creating defensive lines
He said this on the air of the Espreso TV channel.
"The Ukrainian Armed Forces continue their offensive in the Melitopol sector. Defense forces are consolidating their positions on the occupied lines, inflicting losses on Russian troops and exhausting the enemy. Active defense of the Ukrainian Armed Forces continues in the area of Zavitne Bazhannya village. Commanders on the ground are trying to improve the tactical situation, counter-battery combat is underway," noted Shtupun.
According to him, Russian forces are losing 6 to 10 artillery systems daily in the Tavria sector.
"On the outskirts of Verbove, the Ukrainian army is preparing for further actions by creating defensive lines. Ukrainian artillery is working, and the enemy is trying to replenish its losses. The enemy is pulling up reserves because it is afraid of a breakthrough. I believe there will be good news soon," added Shtupun.
