Russia amasses 110,000 troops in Lyman-Kupyansk direction
Russians have concentrated 110,000 military personnel in the Lyman-Kupyansk direction of the front. They have increased their artillery and missile attacks
The head of the press service of the Eastern group of troops, Illya Yevlash, shared this information during a telethon.
He highlighted that Ukrainian forces maintain control over the situation in the Kupyansk and Lyman districts.
Yevlash pointed out that the occupiers have significantly intensified their shelling in the Lyman-Kupiansk direction. As of August 26, they launched 620 attacks on our positions and conducted 15 airstrikes.
"Looking at the entire Lyman-Kupiansk direction, there are approximately 110,000 Russian military personnel. If we break it down, around 45,000 are concentrated in the Kupyansk direction and about 48,000 in the Lyman direction," he emphasized.
According to Yevlash, the occupiers are actively deploying "Storm-Z" detachments and regular troops, including a tank regiment, in the mentioned direction.
"Their strategy remains consistent - overpowering our positions with sheer numbers and creating fire barriers, as old Soviet tactics suggest. For instance, they need around 40,000 rounds of ammunition to capture a company or platoon stronghold. They expend these rounds, though precision and accuracy are not the best," clarified Yevlash.
